NAIROBI, Kenya- European Union Ambassador to Kenya Andreas Peschke has formally assumed office after presenting his credentials to President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi.
Peschke introduced himself to Kenyans in a message shared after Tuesday’s ceremony and thanked the President for the reception.
“Hamjambo, Wakenya! My name is Andreas Peschke and I am the new EU Ambassador to Kenya,” he said.
“Today I had the honour to present credentials to H.E. President Ruto. Asante sana kwa mapokezi mazuri. Tufanye kazi pamoja tuongeze ushirikiano.”
Peschke will lead the EU delegation in Kenya and oversee relations between Nairobi and the bloc during his tenure.
He was among newly posted envoys from Thailand, Brazil, Nigeria, Austria, Belgium, France, Cyprus and South Sudan who presented their credentials to President Ruto.
