NAIROBI, Kenya- Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has dispatched a high-profile advance team to London ahead of his planned visit to the United Kingdom, in a move seen as part of his growing international political outreach.
According to information shared publicly, the team includes Senator John Methu, former MP Kanini Kega, and musician-turned-political figure Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh.
Sources indicate that the group has been tasked with coordinating diaspora engagements, logistics, and groundwork ahead of Gachagua’s arrival, aimed at mobilising support among Kenyans living in the UK.
The move underscores Gachagua’s increasing reliance on a blend of political and cultural figures as he expands his influence beyond Kenya’s borders.
While details of the full itinerary remain undisclosed, insiders say the London engagements are expected to focus on diaspora politics, economic ties, and mobilisation strategies ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
Neither Gachagua nor the individuals mentioned have publicly commented in detail on the purpose of the advance team’s mission.
The development comes amid intensified political realignments in Kenya, with leaders positioning themselves for the next electoral contest.
