NAIROBI, Kenya- Two people were killed and three others injured after a Range Rover crashed into a boda boda rider and rolled several times along Riverside Drive in Nairobi.
The crash occurred opposite Chandarana Supermarket, where the vehicle reportedly lost control while allegedly speeding and overtaking dangerously before hitting the motorcycle rider.
The boda boda rider and the driver of the Range Rover died at the scene.
Three other occupants of the vehicle, who were said to be foreign nationals, were injured and rushed to hospital for treatment.
Police were called to the scene as investigations began to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
The accident prompted a major response along Riverside Drive, with the vehicle’s wreckage left at the scene as authorities worked to clear the area.
