NAIROBI, Kenya — Safina Party has unveiled newly branded sound trucks as the party steps up grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The trucks, fitted with public address systems, are intended to take the party’s message directly to communities across the country, according to a statement shared by Safina on Monday, September 28, 2026.
Safina, led by businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, said the vehicles will be used to amplify its message on economic liberation and good governance.
“The Safina Party is taking the movement directly to the ground with our newly launched, fully equipped sound trucks with public address systems that will ensure our vision for economic liberation and good governance reaches every citizen, loud and clear,” the party said.
The launch places Safina among several political parties and movements using branded vehicles and sound systems as part of their grassroots outreach ahead of the 2027 polls.
Wiper Unveils Ukombozi Caravan
Safina’s move follows the unveiling of a similar campaign vehicle by the Wiper Patriotic Front in August.
Wiper unveiled its Ukombozi Caravan, a branded truck featuring the party’s colours and images of its leader, Kalonzo Musyoka. The party said the vehicle would travel across the country as it takes its “Ukombozi” message to voters.
The truck was unveiled on August 25, with senior Wiper officials accompanying Musyoka during the launch.
Wiper said the caravan would move from county to county and constituency to constituency as part of its grassroots mobilisation efforts.
The development came amid wider efforts by political parties and movements to strengthen their grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Campaign Trucks Become A Political Mobilisation Tool
Branded campaign trucks fitted with sound systems have increasingly featured in political rallies and grassroots engagements in Kenya.
The strategy has been associated with movements including Linda Mwananchi and the Democracy for Citizens Party, which have used campaign vehicles to carry political messages to different parts of the country.
The trend has also brought some risks. A DCP campaign truck was recently damaged after it was reportedly stoned during campaigns linked to the Ol Kalou by-election.
With Safina now adding its own vehicles to the growing fleet of political campaign caravans, parties are increasingly turning to mobile outreach as they prepare for the 2027 electoral contest.
