NAIROBI, Kenya — The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) on Thursday hosted a delegation from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for a benchmarking exercise on the ODPP’s digital case management system.
System Demonstration
The DCI officers were taken through an overview of the ODPP’s digital transformation mandate, the Uadilifu case management system, a live e-filing module demonstration, and a live document tracking module demonstration.
Enhanced Accountability
During the meeting, ODPP officers discussed how the system has enhanced accountability, increased efficiency and transparency, and improved document security and accessibility.
Inter-Agency Collaboration
The DCI delegates commended the ODPP for its innovation in case handling and expressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration in strengthening the criminal justice sector.
Justice Administration
The benchmarking exercise aims to promote effective administration of justice through information sharing between prosecution and investigative agencies.
The engagement reflects growing momentum in Kenya’s criminal justice sector to digitise case workflows, reduce physical file handling, and close gaps between investigation and prosecution that have historically caused delays and evidence loss.
