P Diddy’s Prison Release Date Reduced Again

American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has received yet another reduction to his prison sentence after federal authorities in the United States updated his official release date for the third time since his conviction.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the disgraced entertainment executive is now expected to leave prison on February 23, 2028, nearly two months earlier than his previously scheduled release date of April 15, 2028.

The latest adjustment means Combs has now shaved almost four months off his original projected release date of June 4, 2028, significantly reducing the amount of time he will spend behind bars following his 2025 conviction.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after a U.S. court convicted him in October 2025 on two counts of transportation for prostitution

Since entering federal custody, prison authorities have adjusted his release timeline multiple times. Court records initially projected that Combs would remain incarcerated until June 4, 2028.

Authorities later shortened the sentence and shifted the date to late April 2028 before officially moving it to April 15, 2028.

The newest prison update now places his release date on February 23, 2028, marking the shortest projected sentence timeline since his incarceration began.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has attributed the repeated sentence reductions to standard federal prison credit systems that allow inmates to reduce time served through good conduct and participation in rehabilitation programs.

Under the federal system, prisoners can systematically earn sentence reductions by maintaining good behavior, avoiding disciplinary violations, and actively participating in approved rehabilitation or correctional programs.

Reports indicate Combs has remained compliant during his incarceration while also completing several internal rehabilitation programs.

Among the programs reportedly completed are courses focused on drug abuse rehabilitation, domestic violence awareness, and other behavioral improvement initiatives available within the federal correctional system. Authorities say these efforts have helped him qualify for the repeated sentence reductions.

Combs is currently being held at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal correctional institution located in New Jersey.

The prison facility houses inmates serving sentences for non-violent federal crimes and offers several rehabilitation programs designed to prepare inmates for reintegration into society after release.

His legal team continues aggressively challenging his conviction and has already filed an appeal seeking to overturn the guilty verdict.

Lawyers representing the music executive have reportedly argued that the court imposed an unfair sentence and continue pushing for additional legal relief.
