Kenyan gospel singer and preacher Size 8 has candidly reflected on her life journey ahead of her 39th birthday, revealing that she regrets some of the choices she made during her younger years and wishes she had used her time more intentionally.

The musician, whose real name is Linet Munyali, shared the reflections during a recent appearance on NTV’s Crossover programme, where she spoke about aging, purpose, missed opportunities, and the importance of making wise decisions while still young.

Speaking openly about her personal journey, Size 8 admitted that looking back, she wishes she had approached some aspects of her youth differently.

“I am now turning 39 in August,….. I wish I had used my youthful days better,” she said, noting that the milestone had prompted her to evaluate how she had spent different stages of her life.

The gospel singer explained that one of her biggest realizations is that youth is a limited resource that many people take for granted until it is gone.

She urged young people to maximize their energy, strength, and opportunities while they still have them, warning that time moves much faster than most people expect.

According to Size 8, many of the activities and distractions that seem important in one’s twenties eventually lose their significance with age.

She observed that the pressure to attend every social event, chase every trend, or constantly seek entertainment can distract people from pursuing long-term goals that ultimately matter more.

The singer also opened up about missed opportunities that continue to shape her perspective today.

She admitted that she wishes she had used some of her youthful years more effectively and taken advantage of opportunities that were available to her at the time.

She acknowledged that hindsight has given her a deeper appreciation for the importance of making strategic decisions early in life.

Size 8 disclosed that financial hardship played a major role in her decision to pursue music during her twenties.

According to the singer, her family prioritized funding university education for her brothers, leaving her to find alternative ways to support herself and create opportunities.

As a result, she entered the entertainment industry primarily as a means of survival rather than because it had always been her lifelong dream.

Before transitioning into gospel music and ministry, Size 8 became one of Kenya’s most recognizable secular artists, releasing several hit songs that established her as a household name.

Over the years, Size 8 has spoken openly about her transformation from secular entertainer to gospel minister, often sharing lessons she has learned through faith, marriage, motherhood, and personal growth.

During the interview, she also discussed the importance of minimizing distractions and focusing on purpose.

She revealed that she has deliberately reduced the amount of time she spends on social media and other digital distractions in order to focus on more meaningful pursuits.

She encouraged young people to think carefully about the decisions they make today, emphasizing that the choices made during youth often have long-lasting consequences.
