TikToker Fardosa Hospitalised as Fans Rally Behind Her in Prayer

NAIROBI, Kenya – Kenyan TikTok sensation Fardosa has been hospitalised in Turkana after developing health complications that have left her fans and supporters concerned about her well-being.

The viral content creator was taken to a medical facility in a wheelchair, with footage showing medical personnel placing her on an intravenous drip as they worked to stabilise her.

Fardosa’s camp helper and mentor, Shangazi, shared the worrying update on Sunday, August 16, 2026, and asked her followers to pray for her recovery.

“A word of prayer to Fardosa,” Shangazi wrote while sharing footage from the hospital.

The video shows Fardosa appearing weak as several women help her into the facility. She keeps her eyes closed at times and appears visibly unwell before medical staff place her on a hospital bed for further examination.

The latest reports indicate that Fardosa has been dealing with an underlying chronic illness and may have stopped taking medication prescribed for the condition. Reports shared by people close to her have also linked her current health struggles to a reported relapse into alcohol consumption.

However, the specific chronic illness affecting Fardosa has not been publicly identified by her medical team. Fardosa appeared frail and that doctors began administering fluids through an IV drip after she arrived at the hospital.

Her camp has also expressed concern over reported dehydration and weight loss.

Fardosa’s latest health concerns come after she previously spoke publicly about her relationship with alcohol. The TikToker had earlier indicated that she had stopped drinking, but recent updates from people close to her suggest that she struggled to maintain her sobriety.

This is not the first time Kenyans have expressed concern over Fardosa’s health. In April 2026, Shangazi shared footage showing the TikToker in a wheelchair and appealed to Kenyans to pray for her.

At the time, Shangazi discussed Fardosa’s struggles with alcohol and called attention to the need for her to receive support. The latest hospitalisation has therefore brought renewed concern from followers who have watched her journey since she rose to fame.

Her supporters have once again taken to social media to send messages of encouragement and prayers.

Fardosa rose to fame in 2025 after videos showing her reactions to different foods and experiences at the Kakuma camp went viral on TikTok. Her popularity came largely from her straightforward personality and unfiltered opinions.

Unlike many creators who build audiences around carefully produced skits or dance videos, Fardosa became popular by simply expressing what she liked and disliked.

Her distinctive reactions to food quickly became a major part of her online identity. She particularly became known for her strong opinions about meals, including her dislike of rice and beans being mixed together.

In one viral moment, Fardosa complained about having rice and beans served on the same plate and insisted that she preferred her rice and soup separately.

“This is not my plate; the rice and beans are mixed. No, I want my soup on the side and my rice on the side,” she said in the widely shared video.

Her expressions, humour and candid personality resonated with thousands of Kenyans, who turned her into a social media favourite.
