Tileh PacBro Explains Why He Rejects Betting Deals Despite Lucrative Offers

Dancer and digital creator Tileh PacBro has opened up about why he refuses to work with betting companies.

Speaking on the Over 1 Million Podcast hosted by Tony Mwirigi, PacBro said he has deliberately stayed away from gambling endorsements because he does not want to create the impression that betting is a legitimate or easy way to build wealth.

The content creator, who has built a loyal audience through dance, lifestyle content and entrepreneurship, said his background makes him even more conscious of the influence he has on young Kenyans from similar communities.

“For example, I don’t work with gambling,” he said. “I come from the hood. So there are a lot of people who look up to me because of the way I’ve made money.”

PacBro explained that many of his followers see him as proof that success is possible through consistency and hard work. Promoting a betting company, he said, would undermine that message and potentially encourage people to seek shortcuts instead of putting in the effort required to build sustainable careers.

He argued that a single sponsored post could send the wrong message to thousands of impressionable followers.

“It takes just one ad and a photo to reach so many people. If they believe I came from the hood by working hard, then I wake up one morning and say I have money because I gambled, I am telling them there is another easy way,” he said.

According to PacBro, that perception carries consequences that extend far beyond a single advertising campaign. He believes gambling poses significant financial risks, particularly for young people who may already be struggling economically.

Rather than promoting betting as an opportunity, he wants his platform to reinforce discipline, patience and personal responsibility.

He acknowledged that his position is based on personal principles rather than criticism of others who choose differently.

“These are just my principles. I would not want to do that to other people,” he added.

PacBro also revealed that he has never gambled himself, making it easier for him to remain consistent with the values he promotes online. He said authenticity is important because audiences can quickly tell when influencers endorse products or services that do not align with their personal beliefs.

His comments echo sentiments he has shared previously about the importance of accountability and earning success through genuine effort instead of looking for quick wins.

In earlier discussions about his journey, PacBro attributed his growth in the digital space to discipline, consistency and taking responsibility for his own life. He has repeatedly encouraged young people to invest in developing their skills rather than chasing overnight success.

PacBro believes creators should carefully consider the long-term influence they have over their followers, especially those who view them as role models.

For him, building trust with his audience is worth more than accepting endorsement deals that conflict with his principles.

While turning down betting endorsements could mean walking away from lucrative opportunities, PacBro says maintaining credibility and protecting his audience matter more than short-term financial gain.
