NAIROBI, Kenya- PUBG MOBILE has rolled out its Version 4.3 Update, introducing a wave of new features, gameplay upgrades and global events to mark its eighth anniversary.
The update is one of the game’s most ambitious yet, blending futuristic elements with community-driven celebrations.
How the “Evolving Universe” mode is changing gameplay
At the centre of the update is a new themed mode called Evolving Universe.
It transforms core maps like Erangel, Livik and Miramar with spacetime distortions, redesigned cities and dynamic rail systems.
Players can now experience racing gameplay and new parachute challenges, adding fresh layers to the traditional battle royale format.
According to Jeff Tang, the update also introduces five passive skill specialisations and an Energy Rank system ranging from Rank C to Rank S.
This allows players to unlock “Temporal Vaults” packed with themed rewards and deeper customization.
Anniversary rewards, campaigns and global celebrations
To mark the milestone, the game has launched the “For Every #1” campaign, celebrating achievements across its global player base.
Players are also getting early access to “LEAN (PUBG MOBILE 2026 Theme Song)” as part of the rollout.
Limited-time incentives include the RPA18 Royale Pass, discounted to 60 UC with rewards valued at up to 80,000 UC.
Anniversary events began on March 12 and wrapped on March 27 with in-game rewards and a special showcase.
The flagship global event will be held at the Grand Pyramid of Giza, featuring live performances and esports action.
Additional fan events are planned in Türkiye and Indonesia.
MrBeast, anime collabs and esports expansion
The update also leans heavily into collaborations and esports growth.
Content creator MrBeast joins the campaign with exclusive in-game content.
Meanwhile, the anime Jujutsu Kaisen returns with new characters and rewards.
On the competitive side, PUBG MOBILE is rolling out a $10 million creator programme under the World of Wonder platform and the WOW DASH competition with a $100,000 prize pool.
