NAIROBI, Kenya – Content creator Milly Chebby has pulled back the curtain on her marriage to comedian Terence Creative, revealing a story that, behind the laughter and viral skits, has had its fair share of tension, doubt and near-exits.
In a candid moment during a couples’ session on their YouTube channel alongside the Ruih Family, Chebby opened up about how Terence’s co-parenting situation with the mother of his other two daughters almost cost them their relationship.
What might seem like a settled chapter from the outside has, in reality, been a long and ongoing learning curve for the couple.
“There was a time I almost left you and said, ‘ Let us also co-parent’. Please do not ask me things to do with co-parenting. I am yet to navigate 14 years later. I am still asking myself, this man has also made me give birth, let us also co-parent,” she admitted.
Her words paint a picture of a relationship tested early on, as she tried to find her place in a blended family dynamic that came with emotional complexities and unresolved tensions.
Terence himself has previously spoken about the struggles he faced in accessing his daughters, even revealing that at one point he had to sneak into their school just to see them — a situation that only added pressure to their young relationship.
Even now, more than a decade later, Chebby says the co-parenting aspect is still not fully figured out. Yet somehow, through the chaos, the two have stayed the course.
From building a brand around relatable, family-centred content to walking down the aisle in a colourful traditional wedding in 2021 before making it legal, their journey has been anything but ordinary. Together, they now share a child and a life that plays out both online and off.
But 2025 nearly changed everything.
Chebby described the period between February and May as one of the darkest in their marriage, a time when walking away felt like the only option.
“In 2025, I almost packed my things, left and said adios, amigos… But God sustained me,” she revealed.
The pressure wasn’t just internal. Their relationship was under a harsh public spotlight, fuelled by rumours, speculation and relentless online chatter suggesting they were on the brink of separation.
Things escalated further when Terence was linked to TikToker Rish Kamungu — claims he firmly denied, insisting they had never met. Still, the noise didn’t die down.
Amid all this, Chebby says the real sting came from closer to home.
Without naming names, she revealed that a trusted friend had allegedly been speaking negatively about her for years — something she only discovered after the friendship ended.
The betrayal cut deeper because of the history they shared.
She had supported the friend, even offering them a job, making the fallout not just public, but painfully personal.
Looking back, Chebby says the experience taught her how easily perception can become reality, especially when you live your life in the public eye.
In that blurred space between truth and rumours, she admits, it’s easy to lose yourself. But through it all, she says one thing kept her grounded was faith.
And for now, despite everything they’ve weathered, she and Terence are still choosing each other.
