L’Oréal East Africa’s principal activity is the marketing and distribution of personal care products across East Africa. The company operates within a portfolio of international beauty and skincare brands associated with the wider L’Oréal group. These include L’Oréal Paris, Garnier and Maybelline, among other brands sold through the group’s wider distribution network.
The financial results come as L’Oréal East Africa’s manufacturing facility in Nairobi receives recognition for improvements in resource efficiency.
On October 15, 2026, the company’s Mombasa Road factory won the Overall Resource Efficiency Award at the Industry Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Awards.
The facility also received category awards for energy management, solid waste management, greenhouse gas emissions management and environmental compliance. It finished as first runner-up in water-use management.
The factory uses a combination of a biomass boiler, a biodiesel generator, solar photovoltaic systems and grid electricity. It has also introduced measures to improve energy efficiency, reuse treated water and reduce packaging waste.
L’Oréal East Africa’s manufacturing facility is the group’s only manufacturing site in East Africa. It produces brands including Nice & Lovely, Versman, Gold Touch, Garnier and Mixa for regional markets.
