The late Ashly Jenae Robinson fiancé Joe McCann has spoken out for the first time following the sudden death of his partner while the couple was vacationing in Tanzania.

McCann took to social media after remaining out of public view amid ongoing investigations into her death overseas, opening his message with a deeply emotional tribute.

This came as the influencer was laid to rest, with reports indicating he was not invited to the burial.

“There are no adequate words to describe the total devastation, emptiness, and shock I feel after losing my best friend, confidante and fianceé, Ashly Jenae Robinson.”

He also expressed sorrow for her family, adding: “As a father myself, I am also heartbroken for Ashly’s parents, Yolanda Endres and Harry Robinson. Ashly’s death is an incomprehensible tragedy.”

Reflecting on their relationship and future plans, he said: “What Ashly desired most was to become a mother and to raise a family together. There is no question that she would have been an amazing mom.”

McCann went on to describe Robinson as a “nurturing presence” with a vibrant personality and creative talent, noting her work as a content creator known online as Ashlee Jenae.

He said she “embodied the virtues of compassion, empathy, kindness, generosity, and love,” and highlighted her passion for cooking, hosting, music, and filmmaking.

He added that she was “a creative genius,” citing her involvement in writing, directing, and acting in a short film, as well as her interest in DJing and love for music.

In conclusion, McCann described her as “an angel who shined her light on everyone fortunate enough to be in her presence,” saying there is “no way to fill the unfillable void” left by her death, and pledging to carry forward her legacy of kindness.

Ashly was reportedly found unconscious in a villa during the trip and later pronounced dead in hospital, just days after McCann had proposed.

Local reports initially suggested investigators were leaning toward suicide, though her family has disputed this and commissioned an independent autopsy.

Her body was returned to her family about a week and a half ago, though her father said personal belongings, including her engagement ring, had not yet been returned as investigations continue.
