Kamene Goro has revealed that her latest tattoo is more than just body art stating that it is a permanent reminder of the frightening health battle that nearly claimed her life earlier this year.
The media personality shared that the tattoo features four dates written in Roman numerals, each marking a painful but significant moment from her hospital stay in 2026.
“So about my most recent tattoo, it’s 4 dates in Roman numbers,” Kamene Goro said on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
According to Kamene, the dates represent the key stages of the medical ordeal she endured: the day she was admitted to hospital, the day she underwent surgery, the day she developed pneumonia, and finally the day she was discharged.
“The day I was admitted, the day I had surgery, the day I got pneumonia, the day I was discharged,” Kamene Goro explained.
While the memories remain painful, Kamene said she chose to immortalize them because the experience transformed her outlook on life. She also expressed gratitude to tattoo artist Barry Tusker for helping bring the deeply personal piece to life.
“They may not be the best memories, but I never want to forget them because of how they changed my life,” Kamene Goro said.
“I’m so thankful that…could make this sentimental journey come true,” Kamene Goro added.
Kamene had previously opened up about the severe health scare, revealing that she had unknowingly been battling illness for months before discovering how critical her condition had become.
“I have been sick for a while and just did not know how sick I was,” Kamene Goro said.
She recalled that her condition sharply deteriorated in January 2026, forcing her into a life-threatening medical emergency that doctors warned left her with very little time.
“In January 2026, I almost died. I was left with like 12 hours; the window between life and death for me was like 12 hours,” Kamene Goro explained.
The tattoo now stands as a symbol of survival, resilience and a chapter of life Kamene says she never wants to forget.
