Kenyan digital content creator and media personality Prudence Chepkirui Tonui, popularly known as King Kalala, has welcomed her first child.
Kalala announced the arrival of her newborn on Monday, October 19, 2026, through an Instagram post featuring a close-up photograph of the baby.
The content creator captioned the photograph, “I’m coming to you as a mother,” alongside the hashtag #longlivetheklan, marking her transition into motherhood.
The photograph showed the newborn wrapped in a white blanket and wearing a white hat decorated with colourful polka dots. Kalala did not reveal the baby’s name or sex in the announcement.

Her post attracted congratulatory messages from fans and fellow entertainers, who celebrated the milestone as she began a new chapter in her personal life.
The announcement comes nearly three months after Kalala publicly confirmed her pregnancy in a playful social media reveal that attracted widespread attention.
Kalala announced that she was expecting her first child on July 21, 2026, through an Instagram video in which she addressed comments from followers about changes in her appearance.
The content creator joked about people who had noticed that her nose appeared bigger before revealing her baby bump.
“Long live the Klan! People are saying that my nose has become bigger. Don’t tell anyone,” she said in the video before showing her pregnancy.
She later accompanied the announcement with the caption, “LONG LIVE THE KLAN! +1!”
Kalala also used the phrase “Hata simba hupatikana,” loosely translated as “Even a lioness gets caught,” to add humour to the reveal.
Her pregnancy reveal also became a major talking point among followers who had speculated about changes in her appearance before she confirmed the news.
During her pregnancy, Kalala shared her thoughts on the physical discomforts she experienced and challenged the idea that pregnancy always feels beautiful.
“You guys are liars. Oh, pregnancy is a very beautiful thing, a beautiful experience; which part of it is beautiful? Hiyo part huwezi lala? When you are allergic to your bed? Do not lie to us,” she said.
