Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has officially bid farewell to Liverpool F.C., bringing an emotional end to one of the greatest careers in the club’s modern history.
The Egyptian superstar made his final appearance for Liverpool during Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League draw against Brentford at Anfield, closing the curtain on a remarkable nine-year journey that transformed him into a global football icon.
Although Salah did not score in his final match, he produced an assist for Curtis Jones, setting yet another club record by surpassing Steven Gerrard’s tally for most Premier League assists for Liverpool.
The emotional farewell saw Anfield erupt into chants as Salah was substituted late in the match, with the forward visibly struggling to hold back tears while receiving a standing ovation from supporters.
Salah later remained on the pitch after the final whistle, soaking in the atmosphere as fans paid tribute to a player widely regarded as one of Liverpool’s all-time greats.
