Arsenal End 22-Year Wait to Win Premier League Title

Date:

Arsenal F.C. have finally ended their 22-year English Premier League title drought after a dramatic and emotional campaign under manager Mikel Arteta.

The North London giants were officially crowned Premier League champions after closest rivals Manchester City F.C. failed to keep pace in the closing stages of the season, handing Arsenal their first league crown since the famous 2003/2004 “Invincibles” era under Arsène Wenger.

On the final day of the season, Arsenal capped off their remarkable title-winning campaign with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace F.C. at Selhurst Park before lifting the Premier League trophy in jubilant scenes.

Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke secured the victory as Arsenal finished the season seven points clear at the top of the table.

Crystal Palace players gave the newly crowned champions a guard of honour before kickoff as thousands of Arsenal supporters inside Selhurst Park erupted into celebration.

Club captain Martin Ødegaard later lifted the trophy amid emotional scenes featuring fireworks, confetti and chants from fans who had waited more than two decades for league glory.

Arteta described the triumph as a moment of “joy and relief” after years of rebuilding and near misses.

The title victory sparked celebrations across the world, including in Kenya where thousands of Arsenal supporters gathered in Nairobi and other towns to celebrate the club’s historic achievement.

President William Ruto also joined in congratulating Arsenal, praising the team for resilience, discipline and consistency throughout the season.

“Our dreams may be deferred, but never extinguished,” Ruto said in a message celebrating the club’s triumph.

Arsenal’s title win is being viewed as one of the club’s greatest modern achievements, especially after years of criticism, heartbreak and failed title challenges.

The Gunners now turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League final as they seek to crown an unforgettable season with European glory.
