2027 Race: Fred Matiang’i Begins Grassroots Campaign in Migori

Date:

MIGORI, Kenya- Jubilee Party presidential candidate Dr. Fred Matiang’i has begun a multi-stop tour of Migori County, with his first day of engagements starting in Kuria West Constituency as he seeks to strengthen grassroots support ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Matiang’i said the tour would focus on engaging residents, listening to their concerns and reaffirming his commitment to what he described as a united, just and prosperous Kenya.

“Day One of our Migori County tour begins today,” Matiang’i said.

“Over the course of this journey, I look forward to listening to the people of Migori County, engaging with our communities, and reaffirming our shared commitment to building a united, just, and prosperous Kenya.”

The former Interior Cabinet Secretary said the country faces significant challenges but expressed confidence that Kenyans could work together towards national renewal.

“The road to national renewal is not an easy one, but with faith, courage, and the unwavering resolve of our people, we shall liberate our country and restore hope for every Kenyan,” he said.

Matiang’i’s itinerary begins in Kuria West Constituency, a politically significant area in Migori County, before he proceeds to other parts of the county during the tour.

The Migori visit is part of Matiang’i’s wider campaign activities as he continues to traverse the country seeking support for his presidential bid under the Jubilee Party ticket ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to the published programme, the county tour includes public engagements to interact with residents and outline his agenda for governance and the economy.
