NAIROBI, Kenya- Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has intensified his political consultations ahead of the 2027 General Election, hosting leaders from Narok County and the Maa community at his Wamunyoro residence.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Gachagua described the meeting as one of the most engaging consultations he has held since launching the series of political engagements at his home.

“I have one of the most engaging conversations since I started consultations at the Wamunyoro residence. This is on the cause of liberation of our country and the formation of the 6th Administration,” Gachagua said.

He thanked the Narok leaders and representatives of the Maa community for what he termed their insightful contributions and candid advice on the country’s political direction.

“Thank you leaders from Narok County and the Maa Nation for your very insightful contribution and candid advice on the way forward,” he added.

The meeting is part of Gachagua’s ongoing consultations with political leaders, grassroots representatives and interest groups as he seeks to build support for his Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In recent weeks, Wamunyoro has become a key venue for opposition strategy meetings, with Gachagua hosting delegations from different regions and welcoming leaders who have expressed interest in joining or working with DCP.

The former Deputy President has maintained that the consultations are aimed at shaping a broad political coalition that will challenge President William Ruto’s administration in the next General Election.
