KCSE 2025 Results Out: 1,180 Exam Results Cancelled for Malpractice

NAIROBI, Kenya – Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba on Thursday, January 9, 2026, officially released the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results at Chebisas High School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.

According to the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), nearly 996,078 candidates from 10,755 examination centres nationwide sat for the exams held between October 21 and November 14, 2025.

The results are now available through official KNEC channels.

CS Ogamba announced that 1,180 students had been found to have engaged in examination irregularities.

“Consequently, and in line with applicable law and regulations, their examination results have been cancelled,” he said.

The cancellations follow thorough investigations by KNEC, which identified multiple cases of malpractice during the exam period.

“Maintaining integrity and fairness in Kenya’s national examinations is paramount,” CS Ogamba said.
