Building Collapses in Shauri Moyo, Rescue Underway

NAIROBI, Kenya — A building has collapsed in the Blue Estate area of Shauri Moyo, Nairobi, according to the Kenya Red Cross Society. The incident occurred adjacent to structures that were being demolished on riparian land.

An unconfirmed number of people are feared trapped under the rubble.

Rescue operations are currently underway, with emergency teams working to reach anyone who may be inside.

The Kenya Red Cross says efforts to secure the site and remove debris safely are ongoing.

Authorities have not yet released official figures on casualties or confirmed the number of people affected.

Residents and bystanders have gathered near the site as rescue personnel work tirelessly to access trapped individuals.

The Kenya Red Cross has pledged to provide updates as more information becomes available.
