Kenyan automotive content creator George King’ara has earned international recognition after finishing in the Top 10 at the global Shell V-Power Games in Budapest, Hungary.

Representing Kenya at the prestigious event, King’ara competed against more than 60 automotive content creators from 29 countries, emerging with a commendable 10th-place finish (P10) in a competition that tested participants across a range of physical, mental and motorsport-inspired challenges.

His impressive performance earned him a limited-edition 1:2 scale Ferrari helmet replica, a collector’s prize commemorating the 75-year motorsport partnership between Shell and Ferrari.

The event was held alongside the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, bringing together leading automotive creators from around the world for an elite showcase of skill, teamwork and endurance.

King’ara was selected by Vivo Energy Kenya to represent the country at the Shell V-Power Games, becoming one of the few African creators invited to participate in the international competition.

The event goes beyond traditional motorsport, combining competitive driving with teamwork, strategy, physical fitness and problem-solving to determine the overall winner.

Competing against some of the world’s biggest automotive creators, King’ara consistently delivered strong performances throughout the challenges to secure a place among the top 10 competitors.

For finishing among the competition’s top performers, King’ara walked away with a unique piece of Formula One history.

The limited-edition 1:2 scale Ferrari helmet replica celebrates Shell and Ferrari’s landmark 75-year partnership in motorsport and serves as one of the event’s most coveted prizes.

The award capped off a memorable weekend for the Kenyan creator, who had travelled to Hungary hoping to make an impact on the international stage.

Rather than returning home empty-handed, he returned with both global recognition and a collector’s item linked to one of Formula One’s most iconic teams.

The Shell V-Power Games also gave participants exclusive access to the Formula One paddock during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend.

Following the competition, King’ara shared his excitement with his followers on Instagram, revealing that he had achieved a Top 10 finish against a world-class field.

“60+ creators from 29 different countries competed for the ultimate prize at the #ShellVPowerGames. I’m not coming back home 🇰🇪 empty handed, we secured P10.”

The achievement also builds on King’ara’s growing reputation as one of Kenya’s leading automotive content creators, known for producing engaging vehicle reviews, driving content and car culture features.
