Celebrated media personality Lulu Hassan has warmed hearts online after sharing an emotional birthday tribute to her husband, Rashid Abdalla, as he turned 44.
The Citizen TV anchor took to her Facebook and Instagram platforms to reflect on their journey together that was defined by humble beginnings, resilience, and ultimately, success as one of Kenya’s most admired power couples.
In her heartfelt message, Lulu Hassan opened up about the couple’s early struggles, painting a vivid picture of a time when they had very little but each other.
“Two dreamers, zero shillings to our names. We are not going to be flawless, we still have a lot to learn but every day, I will try to learn how to be better for you, for us,” she wrote.
She went on to recall the difficult seasons they endured together, moments that tested their strength and commitment.
She remembered times when they “ate hope for dinner” and prayed for rent extensions, a stark contrast to the life they have built today.
