The disbursement, which took place on Tuesday, August 20, aims to bolster essential services and infrastructure projects nationwide.
The Ministry of Education receives the largest share of this allocation, with over Sh1.6 billion dedicated to the Free Primary Education third term.
Additionally, Sh14.1 billion is earmarked for Free Day Secondary Education, while Junior Secondary will benefit from Sh6.1 billion.
The Higher Education Loans Board is set to receive Sh5.1 billion for student loans, and the Universities Fund Board will be supported with Sh2.8 billion.
Infrastructure development also sees a substantial boost, with the State Department for Roads being allocated just over Sh2 billion, which will be distributed among various state agencies.
The State Department for Irrigation is set to receive Sh2.6 billion for the National Irrigation Authority, enhancing irrigation efforts.
In support of agriculture, Sh2 billion will be directed to the State Department for Crop Development for the National Cereals Produce Board (NCPB), specifically to address pending bills related to the fertilizer program for the Financial Year 2023/2024. This program covers both short and long rain seasons.
Additionally, Sh800 million is allocated to the New Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC) Ltd through the State Department for Cooperatives, while the Financial Inclusion Fund (Hustler Fund) receives Sh500 million.
The State Department for Industry will get Sh1 billion for County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPS), and Sh600 million will be directed to the State Department for Investment Promotion, benefiting the Export Processing Zones Authority.
