NAIROBI, Kenya – A police dragnet has been launched against criminal gangs accused of terrorizing residents in Nakuru East Sub-County, with officers raiding multiple hideouts and apprehending key suspects.
In a statement by Director of Criminal Investigations(DCI) on Saturday, April 25, the suspects were ambushed during a coordinated intelligence-led operation.
In a well-planned security operation, officers stormed a cramped one-room house in Kaloleni Estate, arresting 12 suspects “red-handed” as they allegedly planned their next criminal activities.
In a swift follow-up operation, four more suspects were flushed out of another nearby den within the same estate.
The crackdown extended to Freehold Estate, where four additional suspects were cornered and arrested.
In a further sweep, eight more suspects were rounded up at the busy Railway Stage area, tightening the noose on a network believed to have been behind a series of incidents across Nakuru East and surrounding areas.
All suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing ahead of their arraignment.
Through intelligence-led operations, the National Police Service (NPS) has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling criminal gangs and enhancing public safety nationwide.
