Directorate of Immigration Services Announces Simplified Passport Collection Process

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – In a move aimed at enhancing efficiency and accessibility, the Directorate of Immigration Services has streamlined the passport collection process.

Effective immediately, applicants no longer need to book appointments to collect their passports.

In a statement released on Sunday via their official X account, the Directorate highlighted the key changes designed to simplify and expedite passport delivery.

“Further, we have simplified the process of passport delivery: applicants are no longer required to book for appointment to collect passports,” the statement read.

Under the new system, applicants will receive a notification message from the Immigration Department once their passport application has been processed and the passport is ready for collection.

This update will allow applicants to directly proceed to the collection desk at the office where they initially applied for their documents.

These changes come as a direct response to public feedback and reflect the Directorate’s ongoing commitment to improving service delivery.

“The Directorate of Immigration Services is listening and open to all emerging issues,” the statement emphasized.

The Directorate encourages the public to continue voicing their concerns and suggestions to help further refine and enhance the services provided.
