Kenya’s Deputy President Pass Blame To Spy Boss After Deadly Protests

NAIROBI, Kenya- Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has blamed the National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director Noordin Hajji over the recent deadly protests against the Financial Bill 2024.

He said President William Ruto had not been advised well that the country was against the punitive bill, that sparked widespread protests across the country.

He now wants the spy boss to resigned on his motion or get fired by his boss, President Ruto.

“NIS Director Noordin Haji must take responsibility for the deaths and the breach of Parliament… he must resign,” the Deputy President said.

More than 50 people have been killed according to the statistics by human rights organizations, and more than a hundred others injured.
