Madison Investment Managers Partners with CISI to Boost Staff Expertise in Capital Markets

Date:

Nairobi, Kenya- Madison Investment Managers Limited (MIML) is stepping up its game in the capital markets.

The company has teamed up with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) to enhance the knowledge and skills of its team, a move that’s already paying off in better service for their clients.

In an increasingly competitive financial landscape, MIML is doubling down on expertise.

Through this partnership with CISI, MIML’s staff are receiving top-tier training in capital market products and services, including money markets, fixed income, and wealth funds.

This initiative aims to provide clients with the best possible advice tailored to their specific financial goals, risk tolerance, and preferences.

Rebecca Tiba, CEO of MIML, couldn’t be more pleased with the results. “We’ve seen a marked improvement in our advisory and investment management services thanks to this partnership,” she noted.

“Our staff are now better equipped to understand and meet the unique needs of our clients, leading to more personalized and effective financial solutions. Simply put, our clients are happier,” she added.

As part of this collaboration, more than 15 MIML employees have completed the Securities Industry Certification program.

This course, developed by CISI in partnership with the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and the Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSDA), offers a comprehensive introduction to the financial services sector with a global perspective.

It covers key financial principles and products, including equities, bonds, derivatives, and investment funds, ensuring that MIML’s team is well-versed in the full spectrum of capital markets.

Kimacia Gitau, CISI’s East Africa Regional Representative, emphasized the importance of professionalism in the industry, highlighting that true expertise is a blend of knowledge, skills, and behavior.

“The CISI believes professionalism is the blend of three elements: Knowledge through qualifications, Skills via ongoing learning, and Behavior in upholding the highest standards of integrity,” Gitau explained.

This focus on professionalism ensures that financial advisors act in the best interest of their clients, ultimately leading to better results and enhanced trust.

The partnership between MIML and CISI is a significant contribution to the growth and professionalization of Kenya’s capital markets.

By equipping its staff with advanced knowledge and skills, MIML is raising the bar for investment advisory services in the region.

As the financial landscape continues to evolve, this collaboration is positioning MIML to better serve its clients while setting a new standard for excellence in the industry.
