You Must Remember That Journey To The Hague – Gachagua to Ruto

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has intensified his criticism of President William Ruto, accusing the administration of engaging in actions that could lead to crimes against humanity.

Speaking during a church service in Dandora, Nairobi, Gachagua alleged that a cabinet secretary orchestrated a plan to forcefully evacuate Kenyans from Lamu County.

“I want to ask the president that he was at The Hague charged with crimes against humanity. The route huyu waziri wako amechukua hapo Lamu ya kutisha jamii wale wamekaa pale Lamu by right because they are Kenyans, nakusema watafurushwa na waziri ndiye ameconvene hiyo mkutano, you must remember that journey to The Hague,” Gachagua stated.

Gachagua urged that the group handling ICC matters in the country should document the details of the meeting held in Lamu and inform the ICC about these developments.

The former deputy president also took issue with President Ruto’s recent calls for parents to instill good morals in their children.

He criticized the president for not addressing the use of abusive language by some of his close allies during public rallies.

“Your friends and those who hang around you are the ones who are making these children to be abusive. You are the President, and you are not telling them to stop,” Gachagua remarked.

He emphasized the importance of leading by example, saying, “Much as you are telling us we have not brought up our children well, before you remove the speck in our eye, remove the log in yours.”

The former deputy president also revealed that they have assembled a team of lawyers to document the current happenings in the country.
