NAIROBI, Kenya- Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has said Kenyans are demanding accountable leadership that delivers tangible results, as the opposition party steps up grassroots consultations ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a statement after a consultative meeting with Jubilee Party leaders and supporters from Laikipia County, Kioni said citizens were looking beyond political promises and wanted a government that prioritises economic growth, public service delivery and national unity.
“Our people are demanding more than promises; they are demanding leadership that works,” Kioni said.
He added that Kenyans want “a government that creates opportunities for all, protects livelihoods, strengthens our economy, restores dignity to public services, safeguards the security of every citizen, and ensures that every child has access to quality education.”
Grassroots Consultations
Kioni said the engagement with party officials and supporters provided an opportunity to exchange views on the country’s current political and economic situation, as well as Jubilee’s plans ahead of the next General Election.
According to the former Ndaragwa MP, participants expressed a desire for leadership that puts citizens first and is committed to accountability and inclusive governance.
“The message from Laikipia was clear. Kenyans are ready for a leadership that puts the people first,” he said.
Jubilee’s Political Position
Kioni maintained that the Jubilee Party remains committed to bringing together Kenyans from different backgrounds under a common vision for the country.
He described the party as one that seeks to promote unity, expand economic opportunities and improve the welfare of citizens.
“Jubilee Party continues to stand out as the party of choice, bringing together Kenyans from all walks of life under a shared vision of unity, opportunity and a better Kenya,” Kioni said.
The consultative meeting is part of a series of engagements by political parties as they intensify grassroots mobilisation and policy discussions ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Kioni’s remarks come amid increased political activity across the country, with both the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition and opposition leaders holding public meetings to rally support and outline their governance agendas.
