UDA’s Muchina Says He is Ready for any Outcome

Date:

OL KALOU, Kenya – United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Samuel Muchina has said he is prepared to accept the outcome of the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election, expressing confidence that voters will determine the constituency’s next leader.

Speaking after casting his vote on Thursday, Muchina urged residents to participate peacefully in the electoral process, saying the will of the people should prevail.

“I’m ready for the outcome. The people of Ol Kalou will speak at the ballot, and what they decide is what we will go with,” Muchina said.

The UDA candidate said he was optimistic about his chances but stressed that he would abide by the outcome announced by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Voting is underway across the constituency as residents elect a new Member of Parliament in a closely watched by-election. Election officials and security agencies have been overseeing the exercise, with voters turning out at polling stations to cast their ballots.

The by-election is expected to test the political strength of the competing parties ahead of future electoral contests, with the outcome likely to shape the constituency’s political landscape.
