NAIROBI, Kenya –The late Kasipul Member of Parliament, Charles Ong’ondo Were, will be laid to rest on Friday next week at his rural home in Homa Bay County.
This was confirmed by the chairperson of the funeral planning committee, Peter Kaluma, who also serves as the Homa Bay Town MP.
Kaluma revealed that the body of the slain legislator will be flown into Kabunde Airstrip in Homa Bay on Thursday, where the public will have an opportunity to view the body before the funeral.

A requiem mass will also be held on Wednesday in Nairobi to honor the MP, who was tragically gunned down by unknown assailants on Wednesday evening at the City Mortuary roundabout along Ngong’ Road.
The funeral planning committee expects large crowds in Kasipul for the send-off, including dignitaries from all political divides.
