NAIROBI, Kenya — Huduma Kenya has launched Kenya School of Government (KSG) services at selected Huduma Centres across the country in a move aimed at decentralising public-sector training and improving access to government services.
The rollout was announced in a public notice issued on May 20 and officially launched at the Uasin Gishu Huduma Centre.
According to Huduma Kenya, the programme will initially be implemented in 16 Huduma Centres nationwide.
Public-sector training services
Under the new arrangement, Kenyans will be able to access various Kenya School of Government services through Huduma Centres.
The services include leadership training, governance programmes, consultancy services, organisational development support, and research initiatives targeting public servants.
Mandatory leadership and public administration courses will also be available under the expanded programme.
Officials said the initiative is intended to strengthen capacity-building and improve service delivery within government institutions.
Focus on digital skills
The programme will also introduce digital training modules focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and e-government systems.
The courses are designed to support the government’s broader digital transformation agenda within the public service sector.
Authorities said more than 180 programmes currently offered physically and through e-learning platforms will gradually become accessible through Huduma Centres.
Expansion of Huduma services
Huduma Centres have, in recent months, continued expanding their service offerings by integrating additional national and county government services.
Among the newly introduced services are Affordable Housing registration desks, Judiciary payment services for fines and bail refunds, and State Media support services offered through the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
The government says the integration is aimed at making public services more accessible and reducing the need for citizens to visit multiple offices.

Push for digital government
The rollout comes as the government accelerates efforts to digitise public services under President William Ruto’s administration.
Earlier this year, Ruto said between 80 and 90 pc of government services had already been digitised.
He added that more than 22,000 national and county government services are currently accessible online, with remaining services undergoing digital transition.
