
NAIROBI, Kenya– Kenya Police Football Club and Kenya Police Bullets FC marked a historic 2025/26 football season with a joint end-of-season gala held at the Serena Hotel on Tuesday, celebrating team achievements and honouring outstanding individual performances.
The ceremony recognised Kenya Police Bullets FC for winning the FKF Women’s Premier League title, while Kenya Police FC was celebrated for finishing third in the FKF Premier League and reaching the final of the FKF Mozzart Bet Cup.
The event was attended by senior police leaders, football officials and club partners.
Representing the club patron and Principal Secretary for Internal Security, Dr. Raymond Omollo, Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service (KPS), Mr. Eliud Lagat, presided over the awards ceremony alongside senior police leadership and football dignitaries.
Several players received individual honours for their performances during the season.
For the men’s team, Abud Omar Khamis emerged as one of the biggest winners after claiming the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Defender of the Year and Goal of the Season awards. Yves Koutiama received the Golden Boot and Signing of the Season accolades.
In the women’s team, Margaret Kunihira was recognised with the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Golden Boot and Chairman’s Awards, while Tereza Engesha won the Goal of the Season and Signing of the Season awards.

Speaking during the gala, Mr. Eliud Lagat conveyed congratulations from Inspector General of Police Mr. Douglas Kanja, saying the two clubs had established themselves among Kenya’s leading football brands.
He reaffirmed the National Police Service’s commitment to investing in the clubs and challenged both teams to uphold discipline and continue raising the profile of Kenyan football on the international stage.
Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service (APS), Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, praised the technical benches and players for delivering a successful campaign, attributing the achievements to discipline, teamwork and commitment.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Rashid Mohammed thanked the National Police Service leadership for its continued investment in football development and infrastructure. He also urged players to maintain professionalism and discipline throughout their careers.
Among those who attended the gala were the clubs’ Chairman and Commandant of the National Police College, Main Campus Kiganjo, Mr. Nyale Munga; TPU Commandant Ms. Lydia Ligami; Presidential Escort Unit Commandant Mr. William Sawe; KPS Officer Commanding Sports Mr. Tom Okoth; and representatives from the clubs’ sponsor organisations.
