Milly Wa Doc: Esther Passaris Leads Kenyans in Mourning Fallen Kenyan TikTok Star

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya – Kenyans are mourning the tragic death of popular TikToker Milly wa Doc, whose sudden passing has sparked an outpouring of grief — and calls for justice.

The content creator from Nakuru, beloved for her humour, authenticity and relatable storytelling, died on the evening of Monday, June 2.

Her death came just weeks after she celebrated a joyful wedding, which fans had followed with excitement online.

Her family has confirmed that Milly died from acute kidney failure, following complications from abdominal surgery.

According to her aunt, Monica, Milly had developed a stomach cyst and underwent a procedure to remove it. But things quickly spiralled.

“She began bleeding internally and needed a transfusion,” Monica said during a family gathering. “After three days in hospital, she was discharged. Then, suddenly, both her kidneys failed.”

Milly started dialysis on the morning of her death and was reported to be in stable condition. But her health deteriorated overnight.

Her passing has left fans stunned — and raised questions about the events leading up to her death.

In a video that has since resurfaced, Milly appears visibly distressed and speaks candidly about fears for her life, alleging medical negligence and naming her former partner, known online as “Daddy,” as a source of abuse and danger.

She claimed he had a history of malpractice and hinted that she had seen evidence of this.

“I know I’m in danger, but I’ve made arrangements for my children,” she said. “If I die, they will be okay… I just hope my story helps someone else.”

The video has reignited public concern, with many demanding accountability.

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris was among the first public figures to weigh in, calling for an urgent and transparent investigation.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to her children, family, and the fans who drew strength from her candid and courageous voice,” Passaris said in a post on X. “Her untimely death raises serious concerns.”

She called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Chief Government Pathologist, Dr. Johansen Oduor, to intervene.

Passaris also urged the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) to investigate online claims that Milly’s ex-partner, reportedly a licensed medical practitioner, may have abused his position.

“These allegations speak to possible abuse of office and failure in duty of care — matters that demand immediate attention,” she said. “No stone must be left unturned.”

Milly’s death has not only left a gap in the Kenyan digital space but has also sparked a broader conversation about women’s safety, medical ethics, and the burden of silence many carry online.

Tributes continue to pour in from fellow content creators and fans, who remember her as a warm, fearless voice who connected deeply with her audience.

She leaves behind two children.
