Schneider Electric Tops The List of World’s Most Sustainable Companies For 2024

Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya- In a remarkable achievement, Schneider Electric has been crowned the most sustainable company in the world for 2024 by Time magazine and Statista.

This accolade underscores the company’s relentless commitment to reducing emissions and aiding customers in their quest for energy efficiency.

Time and Statista’s selection process for the world’s most sustainable companies was nothing short of rigorous.

Starting with over 5,000 leading global companies, they employed a meticulous four-stage assessment.

This evaluation weeded out unsustainable industries and scrutinized factors like external sustainability ratings, corporate reporting practices, and key environmental and social performance indicators.

The final list highlights 500 companies from more than 30 countries, with Schneider Electric leading the pack.

The recognition is not only a testament to Schneider Electric’s sustainability initiatives but also to their technological prowess and the impactful Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) program.

This program, pivotal in tracking the company’s progress towards its 2021–2025 global sustainability goals, focuses on six long-term commitments across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions.

One of Schneider Electric’s standout achievements is its success in helping customers slash carbon emissions.

Since 2018, the company has facilitated a reduction of 553 million tonnes of CO2.

Peter Herweck, CEO of Schneider Electric, expressed his pride, stating, “We are incredibly honored to be recognized as the world’s most sustainable company. This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability, which is embedded in everything we do.”

Adding to its accolades, Schneider Electric has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the 13th consecutive year.

The company not only ranked #1 in its industry but also secured its position in the Europe index, reflecting its strong ESG performance and a strategy deeply rooted in sustainability.
