Date:

NAIROBI, Kenya-  Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced a new leadership team for the Wiper Patriotic Front, appointing former Kigumo MP Jamleck Irungu Kamau as its chairman.

In the changes announced on Thursday, Kalonzo also named Nyali MP Mohamed Ali as the Deputy Party Leader Designate of the Wiper Patriotic Front.

Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru was appointed the Spokesperson of the newly unveiled political outfit.

The appointments are part of a broader reorganization by the Wiper Party as it seeks to strengthen its political structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Jamleck Kamau, a former Member of Parliament for Kigumo Constituency, is expected to steer the affairs of the Wiper Patriotic Front as its chairman, while Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Jicho Pevu, assumes a key leadership role as Deputy Party Leader Designate.

Ndegwa Njiru, who has been a vocal advocate on legal and governance matters, will serve as the movement’s spokesperson and is expected to lead its public communication strategy.

Kalonzo made the appointments as the opposition continues to reorganize and build alliances ahead of the next electoral contest.

The announcement comes amid heightened political activity across the country, with parties unveiling new leadership teams and refining their strategies as preparations for the 2027 polls gather momentum.
